Outlook

A temporary high pressure core is over the west today, look for perfect sunny spring conditions with highs in the 70s. A cut-off low will drop into southern California tomorrow, this will put showers into southwest Utah by Saturday afternoon. Showers spread northward Sunday and will stick around statewide through at least Monday maybe even Tuesday as this low pressure system hangs out for a couple days. Cumulative rainfall totals from these daily afternoon showers (Sunday-Tuesday) could amount to .25-.75" with the mountains picking up 1.00" in areas with a few inches of snow above 8,000FT. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 5.2.25
